I am not saying Sunday is a Sabbath day. I said Jesus is our Sabbath rest. I rest in him everyday. scripture tells us he is Lord of Sabbath and in him our rest is eternal
Also Jesus had to keep the Sabbath, he had to fulfill the law and did so by keeping it. He was without sin. He fulfilled the law, so that when we are in him we keep all of the law.
Paul tells us plainly in col that we need not worry about certain days It is the festival days, AKA special sabbath days we are not to concern ourselves with. The special Sabbaths are of the utmost importance as they reveal YHWH's plan of salvation. Not one of those shadows can be abolished until the reality comes. The reality of Yom Teruah (Day of Trumpets), for example, has not come yet. Yom Teruah has not yet been fulfilled. It will be when the Trumpets heralding the Day of YHWH begin. Some say it will be fulfilled when Yeshua comes to resurrect the dead at the sound of the trumpet. Either way, it has not been fulfilled and therefore, cannot be abolished.

Either way, it has not been fulfilled and therefore, cannot be abolished. All nations were covered by the Covenant of Circumcision until it was revoked by God. Zechariah 11:10 Then I took my staff called Favor and broke it, revoking the covenant I had made with all the nations. Jeremiah 31:31 “The days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when I will make a covenant with the people of Israel (nation) and with the people of Judah (faithful.) The Old Covenant of Circumcision was revoked by God, and a New Covenant was established in 33 AD. The New Covenant consist of keeping the Moral commands of God, the Sabbath, and being baptized in Christ name. I studied the Koran about the covenants, and it seems that Mohammad neglected to include a covenant for Muslims. Muslims and Jews cannot be included in a Covenant of Circumcision, because that covenant was revoked in 70 AD. Again, the Old Testament says that God would revoked the Old Covenant of Circumcision and establish another covenant. Therefore Muslims and Jews are living with no covenant with God. Well, that is what happens when you follow Mohammad and his made up religion, or Jewish Rabbi's that do not listen to God. Apart from the covenant of circumcision, God also made a covenant that He would not completely destroy the people, and that the seed of Abraham would continue. The covenant of circumcision is separate from the covenant that Abraham's seed would continue and not be completely cut off. Here is that covenant that God promised Abraham that He would not revoke. Genesis 17:4-5 “As for me, this is my covenant with you: You will be the father of many nations. 5 No longer will you be called Abram; your name will be Abraham, for I have made you a father of many nations. 5 No longer will you be called Abram; your name will be Abraham, for I have made you a father of many nations. 6 I will make you very fruitful; I will make nations of you, and kings will come from you. 7 I will establish my covenant as an everlasting covenant between me and you and your descendants after you for the generations to come, to be your God and the God of your descendants after you. And then God added this Covenant of Circumcision. Genesis 17:9-14. 9 Then God said to Abraham, “As for you, you must keep my covenant, you and your descendants after you for the generations to come. 10 This is my covenant with you and your descendants after you, the covenant you are to keep: Every male among you shall be circumcised. 11 You are to undergo circumcision, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and you. 12 For the generations to come every male among you who is eight days old must be circumcised, including those born in your household or bought with money from a foreigner—those who are not your offspring. 13 Whether born in your household or bought with your money, they must be circumcised. My covenant in your flesh is to be an everlasting covenant. 14 Any uncircumcised male, who has not been circumcised in the flesh, will be cut off from his people; he has broken my covenant.” Forever is forever, unless the covenant is revoked.

YHWH never gave circumcision to anyone except Abraham and his seed. The nations did not receive the covenant of circumcision. “The nations” is not the correct translation of “ha’amim” (the people). “The nations” is the correct translation of “ha’goyim” as in Zechariah 12:9. What translation are you using? The covenant referred to is the Old Covenant. The New Covenant consists of “Torah” which includes all of YHWH’s commandments. Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law (Hebrew – Torah) in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. This is the Abrahamic Covenant. This is the “token/sign” of the Abrahamic Covenant. It is not a separate covenant from the Abrahamic Covenant. They are one and the same. You have not established that the seed of Abraham are no longer to be circumcised. However, what does circumcision have to do with what I posted? The Feast Days are a picture of YHWH’s plan of salvation and cannot be abolished until the shadow is fulfilled. Sacrificing a Passover lamb was fulfilled by Yeshua. Therefore, we need not sacrifice a literal lamb on Passover. However, that does not mean we no longer need to keep Passover/the Feast of Unleavened Bread. 1Co 5:7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Messiah our passover is sacrificed for us: 1Co 5:8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

The Old Covenant included the Festivals, and sacrifices. The Old Covenant also includes the weekly Sabbath and the two greatest commandments. If you abolish the Festivals, you must also abolish everything else.

If you abolish the Festivals, you must also abolish everything else. That is not correct, the Sabbath Command was given to mankind. Mark 2:27 Then he said to them, “ The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. The Old Covenant is the covenant of circumcision. It was for every person in the world. Genesis 17:12 For the generations to come every male among you who is eight days old must be circumcised, including those born in your household or bought with money from a foreigner— those who are not your offspring.

The Old Covenant is the covenant of circumcision. It was for every person in the world. Yes, the Sabbath is for all mankind, but it is also part of the Old Covenant as are all Ten Commandments. Exodus 19:5 Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine: Exodus 24:7-8 And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, All that YHWH hath said will we do, and be obedient. And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which YHWH hath made with you concerning all these words. Exodus 34:28 And he was there with YHWH forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments. Circumcision is simply part of the Old Covenant (Leviticus 12:3), not the Old Covenant itself. If circumcision was for the whole world, then YHWH would have given it to Adam and not waited almost 2,000 years to give it to Abraham. First, notice it says "for the generations to come". That means the generations past were not given circumcision and therefore it was not for "every person in the world." Second, verse 12 is referring ONLY to foreigners that Abraham bought as servants. It does NOT pertain to foreigners he did not buy. Genesis 17:13 He that is born in thy house, and he that is bought with thy money, must needs be circumcised: and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant. Those who were not bought with money need not get circumcised. Two things; 1) What version are you quoting from and 2) Why are you addressing circumcision instead of the Feasts Days? I thought we were discussing whether or not we are to be "concerned" about the Festivals as per your words; "It is the festival days, AKA special sabbath days we are not to concern ourselves with."

The Old Covenant has been revoked, and we are now under a New Covenant. So what was the Old Covenant that all nations could come under? (Be included) I agree we (believers in Messiah Yeshua) are now under a New Covenant. The only people that were under an "Old Covenant" were the children of Israel. YHWH made that covenant with them at Mt. Sinai. It did not include any other nation except Israel. Exodus 34:27 And YHWH said unto Moses, Write thou these words: for after the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with thee [Moses] and with Israel.Jeremiah 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith YHWH, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Jeremiah 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith YHWH: The "fathers" are not Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, but those fathers that were alive in Egypt when the covenant was made. This does not include any other nation. Also, YHWH was not a husband to any other nation, only Israel.

That link does not address my position that the Old Covenant was ONLY made with the children of Israel. Yes, there were proselytes dwelling with them who came under that covenant as well, but the Old Covenant was NOT made with the entire world. The fact that Israel has grown or that they have Gentiles within them or that Jews under the New Covenant are inwardly Jews is totally irrelevant.

The Ten Commandment

We are still to keep the moral commands of God, and the sabbath. Agreed, and we keep them when we keep Christ first in our life Greeting I just wanted to share a little something about the The Ten Commandment this is comparing scripture with scripture or spiritual thing with spiritual thing 1 Corinthians 2:12-13 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. Can man Justify for his sins in trying to keep the Ten Commandments.
We read in Romans 3: 20 - 26. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight; for by the law is the knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe; for there is no difference; For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus; Whom God hath set forth to be propitiation through faith in his blood, do declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness; that he might be just, and the justified of him which believeth in Jesus. I quote again, In Romans 3:24-26. Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus; Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness; that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. (This word past through, does not mean that God has not forgotten our sins. What did God desire for man?) I Timothy 2:4. Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth? So that God desired to save us, to spend eternity with Him, and to demonstrate his glory and his love for us. Ephesians 1:5. Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will. This means if we accept Jesus Christ as our savior, he predetermines we will become the sons and daughters of the living God. Ephesians 1:6. To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. God has something much greater in store for us. Ephesians 2:6 -7. And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus; that in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. God is saying he saved us because he loved us and wants us to be in heavenly places. As we read further in Ephesians 2:7. That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. This means he will make us living trophies of all mighty God to reach down in the heart of sinful man and redeemed us and saved us, this is God showing his awesome love for all eternity, Forever and ever and ever. This is a demonstration of God’s mercy, grace, and of his love for us. For the justice of God is righteousness, for he is holy and righteous, he has no sin in him, it is his nature to be holy, pure and righteous. Deuteronomy 32:3 -4. because I will publish the name of the Lord; ascribe ye greatness unto our God. He is the Rock, his work is perfect; for all his ways are judgment; a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he. So how can we stand in front of a just God, with our sinful nature? We can’t! So how can a God that is just and righteous and we as humans, sinful in nature, can God forgive sin? Romans 6:23. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 3:23. For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. For God is so holy he cannot look upon sin, he must be separated from sin. So how can God the Father, who is just and righteous, look upon man? Habakkuk 1:13. Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity; wherefore lookest thou upon them that deal treacherously, and holdest thy tongue when the wicked devoured the man that is more righteous than he? This means God does not look upon our sins in favor, he never approves sin in any means because he is holy and just. I Timothy 6:15 -16. Which in his times he shall show, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords; Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see; to whom be honor and power everlasting, A-men. This is Just a little something I know about the The Ten Commandment

Post by the Sabbath day on Apr 3, 2020 15:48:47 GMT -8
greeting
also some time ago I did a study about the Sabbath Day, on those who change the Sabbath Day, and not keeping the Sabbath Day holy here a little I know
The Roman Church - S
Matt 28:16-20 (KJV)Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. 17 And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted. 18 And Jesus came and spoke unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
According to book of Revelation, there will be two calls to worship, and two claims on authority.
Dan 7:25 (KJV) And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.
Lucius Ferraris Prompta Bibliotheca
The {Bishop of Rome} is of so great authority and power that he can modify, explain, or interpret even divine laws….The {Bishop of Rome} can modify divine law, since his power is not of man, but of God, and he acts as vicegerent {representative} of God upon the earth. Artcle “papa” II vol. VI p. 29
Rev. Peter Geierman
Q. Which is the Sabbath Day?
A. Saturday is the Sabbath Day.
Q. Why do we observe Sunday instead of Saturday?
A. We observe because the Church transferred the solemnity from Saturday to Sunday.
The Convert’s Catechism of Doctrine
The Catholic Encyclopedia
The Church, after changing the day of rest from the Jewish Sabbath of the seventh day of the week to the first, made the Third day commandment refer to Sunday as the day to be kept holy as the Lord’s day. Vol. 4 page 153
American Catholic Quarterly Review January 1883
Protestantism, in discarding the authority of the church, has no good reason for its Sunday theory, and ought logically to keep Saturday with the Jews
Canon and Tradition
The authority of the church could not therefore be bound to the authority of the Scriptures because the church had changed the Sabbath to Sunday not by the command of Christ, but by its own authority page 263
Our Question today is
Can Sunday-sacredness be supported from the Bible or is it merely a relic of Church tradition, a command of the Roman Church-State?
The Ten Commandments the eighth commandment Remember!
Ex 20:8-11 (KJV) Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
Because the six day is the Sabbath Day!
Why?
Protestantism, in discarding the authority of the church, has no good reason for its Sunday theory, and ought logically to keep Saturday for the Jews.
But your LORD thy God Sanctified the six day to set apart” for God’s people. Not just for the Jews but for its entire people.
Rev 14:6-7 (KJV) And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
The fourth commandment
Ex 20:11 (KJV) For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it.
Ezek 20:10-26 (KJV) Wherefore I caused them to go forth out of the land of Egypt, and brought them into the wilderness. And I gave them my statutes, and shewed them my judgments, which if a man do, he shall even live in them. Moreover also I gave them my Sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, which they might know that I am the LORD that sanctifies them. But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness: they walked not in my statutes, and they despised my judgments, which if a man do, he shall even live in them; and my sabbaths they greatly polluted: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them in the wilderness, to consume them. But I wrought for my name's sake, that it should not be polluted before the heathen, in whose sight I brought them out. Yet also I lifted up my hand unto them in the wilderness, that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands; Because they despised my judgments, and walked not in my statutes, but polluted my sabbaths: for their heart went after their idols. Nevertheless mine eye spared them from destroying them, neither did I make an end of them in the wilderness. 18 But I said unto their children in the wilderness, Walk ye not in the statutes of your fathers, neither observe their judgments, nor defile yourselves with their idols: I am the LORD your God; walk in my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them; And hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am the LORD your God. Notwithstanding the children rebelled against me: they walked not in my statutes, neither kept my judgments to do them, which if a man do, he shall even live in them; they polluted my sabbaths: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the wilderness. Nevertheless I withdrew mine hand, and wrought for my name's sake, that it should not be polluted in the sight of the heathen, in whose sight I brought them forth. I lifted up mine hand unto them also in the wilderness, that I would scatter them among the heathen, and disperse them through the countries; Because they had not executed my judgments, but had despised my statutes, and had polluted my sabbaths, and their eyes were after their fathers' idols. Wherefore I gave them also statutes that were not good, and judgments whereby they should not live; And I polluted them in their own gifts, in that they caused to pass through the fire all that openeth the womb, that I might make them desolate, to the end that they might know that I am the LORD.
By worshiping the God of Sabbath you will know there is the true God, because it shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am the LORD your God. Any other day but Saturday is worshiping, is manmade, or of Satan.
The Apostolic Creed: Oh Lord Almighty, Thou hast created the world by Jesus Christ, and hath appointed the Sabbath in memory thereof.
Col 1:14-20 (KJV) the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
John said in,
Rev 1:10 (KJV) I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, The Sabbath day!
Matt 24:16-21 (KJV) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
Because in the future, Daniel the prophet warn us, we read
The Future Dan 7:21-28 (KJV) I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them; Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom. Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end. And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him. Hitherto is the end of the matter. As for me Daniel, my cogitations much troubled me, and my countenance changed in me: but I kept the matter in my heart.
By Changing the Laws of God as we see men interpreting and changing God’s laws.
Dan 7: 25. Change Times and Laws
According to the book of Revelation, there will be two calls to worship, and two claims on authority.
Matt 28:18 (KJV) And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
These are some things concerning the Sabbath Day:
1. In the beginning, created the Sabbath
2. At Mt. Sinai, commanded the Sabbath
3. In His life, worshipped on the Sabbath
4. In His death, observed the Sabbath
5. In His church, the people should continue to observe the Sabbath
6. In His last-days people will keep the Sabbath
John 14:15-17 If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

greetingalso some time ago I did a study about the Sabbath Day, on those who change the Sabbath Day, and not keeping the Sabbath Day holyhere a little I knowThe Roman Church - S
